The demand is now for more emotion in the kitchen, and this target is in the German kitchen industry’s sights for the 2011 season. Glass will play a key role in realising these ideas, where its smooth surfaces integrate beautifully with the different colours found around the cooker. Also, glass-fronts from an ideal viewfinder surface for modern art. Irrespective of whether it is a single graphic element or a complete painting – giving the kitchen a totally new look. The great advantage for the end-customer is that he or she has total freedom of choice. And later, when the look has become passé, the offending image can easily be exchanged for something new. The major advantage for the kitchen industry is that glass surfaces shorten the intervals between new purchases. In addition, glass is a great backdrop for living.
